Moric 'Hausmarke'

Zweigelt provides the largest share to this all-together Austrian cuvée, but the wine's character is dominated by Blaufrankisch. Maybe that's easier to understand when you consider that Zweigelt is itself a crossing of Blaufrankisch and another autochthonous Austrian variety (St Laurent). So with this much Blaufrankisch in its blood, but also coming from this producer, it can't surprise that the Hausmarke Rot comes across as a Blaufrankisch with a more playful side, one that lends freshness and agility to this still serious red.
